Joseph and Sarah Longhurst, the patriarch pioneers of my family are buried in Perth County, Ontario.
Upon visiting their gravesite, my husband noticed there was an epitaph stone buried beneath the grass. As we pulled it away and cleaned it, this is what it said.
Our parents here lie underground,
The dearest friends we ever found,
But through the Lord's unfailing Love,
We hope to meet in realms above
